Students will expand their knowledge of endangered species and explore animal rights activism around the world. Students will also make pom-poms, friendship bracelets, and more. Brown will introduce students to a variety of arts and crafts, including weaving, designing a dinosaur, printing on fabric, and creating unique pillows and bags. They will learn to follow a variety of patterns depending on their interests and developing skills. Students will learn how to knit and pearl to make squares that will be combined for a blanket or other art piece. Knitting – grades 3-5 | Teacher Craine & Ms. Students will learn foundational coding skills through weekly design challenges-”How tall is the tallest tower you can build? Will the duck be able to travel over the bridge?”-and build robots that can move and dance using LEGO bricks. They will practice tomorrow yoga poses, breathing techniques, self-calming tools, and more. Students will build focus, strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and self-management through art, theater elements, and performance. If an enrichment class must be unexpectedly canceled on a given day, students will join After School for the class period. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis and is often limited to ten students per class. Our classes often fill, and when this occurs, we maintain waiting lists.
